These networks aim to promote the exchange of scientific ideas, the generation of knowledge, and the development of a skilled research and engineering workforce through the implementation of K-12 and university focused science and technology education and outreach initiatives. These efforts support the nation's need for an agile, highly capable, and technically proficient talent pool. To achieve these goals, The DoD and Army's vision includes developing a comprehensive pipeline of outreach programs that equip individuals with the skills and experience necessary for the future workforce. This network also supports the achievement of DoD and Army objectives and helps maintain the United States' leadership in science and technology.
